The United States Postal Service® has announced it will be increasing prices for Mailing Services on Sunday, January 22nd, 2012. This rate increase will impact all USPS mail. The 44-cent rate will increase by 1-cent and there will be a 3-cent increase to the price of mailing a postcard. Orders for rate updates need to be place by December 16th to guarantee that you will have your rate update before the change goes into effect..

If you do not have Rate Change Protection (through Hasler or Neopost) and you need to order a Rate Chip/Card to update your rates, please print out this order form and fax it to us at 262-789-1577. 1.) Consider converting your existing mailing system to one of our new Intelligent Mailing (IM/IS Series) systems and never pay for an individual rate update again! All IM/IS series machines come with the ability to download postage rate updates through either a LAN or dial-up connection and regardless of the amount of times the USPS changes rates... you are covered! The new IM/IS Series mailing system requires less ink too!!!

2.) Make sure your letters have the Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMB) on them. Use of the new IMB will allow you to track your letters through the USPS system and will provide you with the immediate address change information. Prior to the IMB coming online, it could take as long as 90 days to obtain the latest address changes from the USPS.

3.) Use address correction software to avoid mailing to bad addresses. If you mail your letters using a presort vendor, this will be done automatically, as those vendors are required to perform this service.

4.) Investigate the right automation for manual processing of mail. Today systems are available that can fold, insert, address, and even presort your lists.

5.) Take advantage of the new "Commercial Based Pricing" available on the new mailing systems. This feature will reduce the cost of Priority and Express mail.

Hasler has launched a new IM6000 & IM5000 high-end mailing systems with high speed options up to 300 letters per minute! It's ultra heavy duty semi-permanent print head is designed to last up to 10 MM cycles reducing costs as well as improving print performance.
